Producer Ross Petty is delighted to announce that Kurt Browning, four-time Canadian Figure Skating Champion, four-time World Champion and a three-time Olympian, will join the cast of PETER PAN for the 2007 holiday family musical! Browning will put his skates on ice for the holidays and instead will soar through the air as the boy who refuses to grow up!

"Kurt and I have been looking for a show to do together for years, and with his incredible charm and personality, there isn't a better role for him to make his musical theatre debut in than Peter Pan", says Petty.

Kurt Browning, a Rocky Mountain House native is one of the most prolific skaters in Canadian history and holds the distinction of being the first athlete to perform a quadruple jump in world competition. From his initial leap onto the world stage at the age of 15, to his professional debut in 1994, Browning has become one of the best entertainers the sport of skating has ever seen!

A consummate performer, fans will remember Browning's remarkable free skate program where he interpreted the Humphrey Bogart role of Rick from Casablanca. Browning has starred in five television specials, the most recent being You Must Remember This which featured Browning 'skating in the rain' à la Gene Kelly. The production, where Browning also appeared as a Philip Marlowe-style detective, a sexy rock star, a classically trained dancer, and a vaudeville entertainer, won five Gemini Awards including Best Variety Special.

Based on the stage play by J.M. Barrie, PETER PAN, The Family Musical that WON'T GROW UP will follow the adventures of Peter, Captain Hook, Tinker Bell and Wendy, performed in the "fractured fairy tale" style that Ontario audiences have embraced for the past 12 years at the Elgin Theatre. Ripe with the requisite singing and dancing, cheering and booing, rip-roaring jokes, and audience participation, this PETER PAN is a quadruple sensation!

But first, take a magic carpet ride with the sk8tr boi Aladdin (Jamie McKnight), the Genie of the Lamp (Bret 'Hitman' Hart), the beautiful Sheherezade (Jennifer Dale) and the Evil Wizard Abanazeer (Ross Petty) in ALADDIN, The Magical Family Musical playing December 6 - 24, 2006 at the Elgin Theatre. The Ross Petty production returns home after a national tour of ALADDIN which began in November in Vancouver and culminates at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa December 26 - 31, 2006.
