Ice Wars XII Results

For the first program, Kurt Browning skated to "Peace Frog" by the Doors, a program he choreographed himself because he "always wanted to skate to the Doors". Fun fact: the costume he wore at Ice Wars (red satiny shirt, black faux leather pants) is not the intended costume - he ripped the actual costume before the event. The pants he wore at Ice Wars are the exact same pants he proposed to Sonia in at Stars on Ice in 1995. For the second program, Kurt skated to "I Did It" by the Dave Matthews Band, a program choreographed for him by Sandra Bezic. Despite difficulties with the ice during practice, Kurt pulled it together and got the highest scores of the evening, helping to bring the men to a victory over the women. Another fun fact: Yuka Sato's second program, to "Wine Safari" from the soundtrack of Sideways, was choreographed by Kurt. Not so fun fact: this Ice Wars, the twelfth, was Brian Boitano's last.
