Bedlam Ballroom was one of Kurt's self-choreographed short programs
for the Canadian Open competition. Kurt said that the music was
something that had been sitting on his shelf for years, waiting to be
skated to. The US and Canadian commentators for the Canadian Open
seem to have gotten two opposite interpretations of this program from
Kurt. One stated that Kurt was playing a bit of geek who was *not*
trying to send up the elements of the short program, while the other
said that Kurt *was* making fun of trying to complete the elements of
the short program. Regardless of interpretation, this program was a
fun, fast, romp with great footwork and choreography.
